Thats a great thing Andy, but it really would be more useful if there was both a search within feature and the ability to sort.
This is another one of those “head scratchers” with the UI. Every single list in every report everywhere should be sortable
The other pet peeve of mine is things that are not in alphabetical order. I found a new one yesterday: adding an asset to a ticket. The list of assets is in completely random order.
I wish we could just get a couple guys to comb through the entire UI and make everything sortable and alphabetized.
Overall the new feature is very helpful and huge step up from where we were. But as discussed, the generated report is titled “All Assets” which is just flat out wrong.
How about something like %customer% - %software% %version%
That way as you look through multiple tabs opened from the Installed Apps report, the context follows a nice flow: General=>MoreSpecific=>ReallySpecific
I think that makes it faster to grok the detailed report. Or to grab a screenshot or hardcopy to send to somebody else. Or to remember what you were doing after you get interrupted for the 20th time in an hour
This is already a feature request…not once but twice.
Given it should be an easy fix with a bit of javascript attached to the combo box, or a slight modification to the SQL query that gets the asset list from the database, this should be a low hanging fruit item, an easy fix…if anyone in Syncro cared enough to give this some thought (and I don’t think they do).
I even asked a simple question on if this was on the roadmap to be fixed.
I didn’t ask when. Merely was it in the list.
No one cared enough to even say yes or no.
They were too busy with the new Team plan I guess.
No money in applying a sort order.
