Help Required! Services do not start after server restart

I am having issue with services not starting after servers restart. All are VMs on Hyper V and OS Win 2019 STD.

Critical services such SQL databases, Remote Terminal services, Syncro services they just stay at stopped even after an hour of restart of the VM until I manually start the services.

Because syncro services are still stopped no automation runs re: services.

Any advices will be very much appreciated.

Is msconfig set to selective startup?

@isaacg All servers(VMs) are on Normal Startup.

Check event logs. What happens when you start them manually?

While services are up and running, is overmind also listed on the processes list? You can check remotely through Backgrounding Tools if needed.

Overmind is the service that restarts services if they go down so that would be something I’d want to know to start off with. Then is there any AV on the server that might keep the software from booting?

Looked into the event logs and I am getting plenty of Service Control Manager errors re: timing out

e.g.

The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

A timeout (30000 milliseconds) was reached while waiting for a transaction response

I am using Sophos Intercept X Adv Server, I will check disabling to see if AV is the culprit !!
