I can set Saved Asset searches to sort of include only offline assets, but I want to have a search that only includes online assets.
Unfortunately there’s no 100% effective way to do this. IIRC lastsynctime or whatever is the closest you get which isn’t very close. Even if you could Syncro’s Online/Offline status is notoriously unreliable. What are you trying to accomplish? Maybe skipping offline assets checkbox would help?

I’m new to syncro and need to send a reboot to all the online workstations for a client and i’m not seeing a way to filter by online status.

There isn’t a way to do that in the sense you are asking, but you can accomplish the same task in a different way. If your goal is just to reboot all assets ad-hoc at a specific customer, go to the Assets tab > Actions > Run Script > Asset Filter Type > Customer and then check the box for “Skip Offline Assets.” Now trip your reboot script and it will only run against every asset currently online scoped to the selected customer.
