Hear from Syncro Channel Chief, Andy Cormier, Brian Kane, VP of MSP Channels at Malwarebyes, and Alan Radomsky, VP of Sales Engineering at Malwarebyes, about how to simplify cybersecurity service delivery while maximizing margins.
Can someone here answer some pricing questions on Threatdown? Like the incident response fee, what counts as an “incident” and are you charged if you have fully managed Detection and Response? Of if I have Managed Threat hunting and there is an “incident” am I charged for Threathunting _+ the incident fee?
That is an oddly named SKU and it’s actually part of the Endpoint Protection and EDR SKUs. It’s really there for legacy customers at this point.
Managed Threat Hunting goes on top of EDR and it’s basically “manual MDR,” meaning it gives you the tools to remediate but you have to do it yourself. Using MDR instead of Managed Threat Hunting means Threatdown’s security team doing the work on your behalf (real humans 24x7x365).
There are no fees associated per incident. It would be $1.50 for the EDR SKU, and you’d put MDR on top of that for $3.50, for a total of $5.00. Then you are fully protect and have real SOC team monitoring your environments.
Thank you that helps a lot. It was really hard to understand the pricing model of what they show on their Threatdown.com site vis Syncro’s pricing and such. I think this is a great option for small business that doesn’t have compliance related stuff. For myself I’m using Threatlocker and Threatdown now and have the best of both worlds. As close to hackproof as you can get on a windows computer. Hey, while I’m asking and you guys have some pull with Splashtop. CAN YOU PLEASE ASK THEM TO GET SPLASHTOP RMM WORKING ON LINUX!!! Sorry for all caps, I’m been spending spare time over past 6 months trying to get it to work on Linux via wine or other work arounds and I’m close but it is cumbersome and messy. Would be better to just get the work done to make Splashtop RMM work in Syncro for Linux so all those in IT that choose to get out of the Windows world and on to Linux can do so. This is literally the only hold up I have as I don’t need or want Windows for anything I do. If this was in Linux natively I’d be off of Windows in a heartbeat.
Hoping for late this year or early next year. But for now there is a script we added to our Community Script Library that you can use in the Setup Scripts section of asset policies for deployments in the meantime.
