Actual cost on customer purchase with refurb costs

Is there a way for my inventory in the Products and Services section to show my total cost for an item instead of just what I bought it from the customer for? For example, when I do a customer purchase but then add parts/labor to it, when I finalize the item and put it in inventory, the cost that is displayed is just what I paid the customer and not my true costs. I know it keeps track of the true costs, because in the refurb section it shows the total of the customer purchase and my parts/labor I put in it.
