Network Discovery Phase One Beta Is Now Live

Hey everyone! We’ve just released the phase one beta for our new Network Discovery module to all Team plan accounts.

Phase 1 encompasses network scan profiles which captures a detailed list of all devices discovered within any given network. Phase 2, which is due out in Q2, will add the ability to bring discovered network devices into Syncro as custom assets, and makes them available for use with our existing SNMP monitoring functionality. It will also allow you to remotely deploy the Syncro agent to discovered Windows devices as well.

Do we get a discount for the similar script I wrote :)? Nice work expanding on it though! Hope it see it be useful for others!

Is the ability to export the results of the network scan to CSV / XLSX or PDF going to be in Phase 2 ???

That is one of the items I have requested. The column layout does not allow for a scrape like the Asset page does either.

From my perspective, the phase 2 sounds really interesting - I like the idea of being able to discover SNMP devices. What would be really useful, is to have some kind of MIB import mechanism. At the moment, creating an OID recipe seems to be quite a laborious process (unless I’m missing something?)

Those OID recipes are sharable, so you can ask the community and in many cases someone may already have one that you can import.
