Why doesn't "Submit as Scheduled"

Why doesn’t “Submit as Scheduled” open the New Appointment popup? Wouldn’t this make sense?

If you used a different scheduling calendar, a simple toggle in the ticket settings could turn this off. Feature request?

It’s just a ticket status. It’s really “Submit and change the status to Scheduled”. Most of the status are only really used for internal tracking, SLAs, that kind of thing, but isn’t linked to another function like this. Most people would schedule and then change the status and move on to the next ticket. What would happen in an automation if someone was to set automation to change it to that status, would the system have a fit because there’s no user interaction to set a schedule? System might blow up lol.
