I was wondering if the hard drive information provided in the asset System Info tab such as HDD1, HDD2 correlate to the Preset Hard Drive Monitoring errors such as “The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk1\DR1.” please?
Anybody know if they refer to the same device every time or if HDD1, HDD2 in System Info tab gets their number from another method?
Windows reports this is in annoying way that it doesn’t use in many other places. If you run this command you should get a readout that correlates:
Get-PhysicalDisk | Select -Prop DeviceId,FriendlyName,SerialNumber
On my machine anyway, this does correspond to the order of the drives Syncro lists, so you might be able to just subtract 1 and know which drive it is (cause Windows counts from 0). In my experience the vast majority of these errors are just spurious ones from USB drives.
Sorry for the late response, but thank you Isaac, appreciate the assistance.
