Service monitor name acting as wildcard

Hello,

I was wondering how can I work with behaviour like this:

  • I have two SQL instances that have the same first part of instance name, I only want to monitor one of them.

To be exact - first is MSSQL$SP2013 the latter is MSSQL$SP2013FULL.
Syncro has monitor set for MSSQL$SP2013 service, but it also starts the FULL instance.

Any ideas how do I deal with that?

Hi Kucera, it shouldn’t treat it as a wildcard for an exact match. I’ll have a ticket out to you shortly with some additional questions so we can get that sent to development.
