Script Variables - Value Showing Data

When we add a script variable, using platform, the value section dropdown list shows values inside it for a random computer of ours.

It shows the serial of the PC with a “-” next to {{asset_serial}

Is this normal?

Yes, each platform variable shows you an example of what it contains. Just an example, the actual applicable variable value will be used when the script runs.
