There’s a lots of quick wins, with Window Titles that could really improve usability alongside the really useful ticket one. (It has dramatically improved my efficiency.)
Currently all type of window for List, Edit, and New windows for type FooWidget (where FooWidget is eg Ticket, Asset, Policy, Script, etc) all just have window title “FooWidgets”. See screenshot below, where there is a window each for Search, Edit, New, etc.
Instead all across the whole system, should have titles showing their action:
- “FooWidgets | Search | ” - someone else here mentioned adding the saved search name
- “FooWidget | <name, like contact name for tickets>”
- “FooWidget | New”
- and then for a ticket once selected customer “Ticket | New | ”

I started enumerating the bad window titles in my doc at SyncroMSP simple UI improvement tweaks – where’s the wire? (wordpress.com) But I then realised it applies to all(?) windows titles across the system. I’ve pasted the relevant notes below.
Note: These aren’t modifying the functional code of the system so are low risk changes. Please Syncro, hire an intern for a summer and get these fixed.
WT – A lot of the other tweaks are also Window title issues, I’ve tagged them WT in the table below. It seems that if a page has no window title set in the source code it will fall back to a page title of “” e.g. new-ticket says “Tickets”. I’ve listed the frequently seen ones in the table, but ideally all pages’ window title should be specifically set and not just fall back to a parent window title.
New Ticket: window title (WT) is “Tickets”
see screenshot below Make it “New Ticket“
and then ideally “New Ticket – ” after the selecting the customer in the first page
Edit a Script: WT “Scripts” | Should be “Script — “
New Script: WT “Scripts” | Should be “New Script“
[LOW] Policy edit WT WT is “Policies” alone, should say “Policy – ” e.g. “Policy – Standard Monitoring”
Or even “Policy – – ” e.g. “Policy – Standard Monitoring – Scripting”
