Instead of creating the automated monthly late fees as a manual add line item, I’d like it to be tied to an actual Syncro product/service. I don’t think it matters if it’s automatically created or we get to select which product it is tied to. The main reason for wanting a product is so the late fee does not get linked to the “Catch All” sales chart of accounts in QuickBooks. This chart of accounts currently houses all manual add line items, including part orders, late fees, and any data subscription recurring line item.
at the very minimum a late fee should obey the default tax rate rather than creating a non-taxable line item
@dbrady Not sure I agree. In our state we only tax tangible items or service on tangible items. Not sure late fee applies as taxable in all cases. But I’m sure every state/local has different laws.
